Vietnam Visa for Indians: Types, Application & Fees

Jungles, wildlife, beaches and sprawling hills make Vietnam an inviting tropical haven. The flavorful cuisine and unique coffee preparation are particularly memorable. A vivid history and rich culture leave a lasting impression. Vietnam offers several types of visas. Today we are going to talk about the Vietnam visa for Indians.

Vietnam Visa on Arrival 

The visa on arrival is for travelers by air only. Applicants need to fill the online application form. They will need to provide details such as:

• Name
• Name of airport of arrival
• Date of arrival
• Passport number 
• Nationality.

Visa on Arrival Fees 

Once the applicant is done filling out the form, they will be expected to pay a processing fee. The processing fee is as follows:

Single entry visa (1-month): 1344 Rupees

Single entry visa (3-months): 2091 Rupees

Multiple entry visa (1-month): 1568 Rupees

Multiple entry visa (3-months) : 3212 Rupees

• This application and processing fee is so that the applicant gets an approval letter from the Vietnam Immigration Department.
• In general, the applicant will receive this email within 2 business days. If they have applied for rushed approval, they may receive this letter in an hour.
• A copy of this letter will also be sent to the three airports from where one can get a visa on arrival.

Documents Required

• Printout of the approval letter
• Passport (with 6 months validity)
• Two passport-sized photos (4cm x 6 cm). 

Photo Specifications

• The  photo should not be older than 6 months.
• Unless for medical reasons, tinted glasses cannot be worn.
• The photo should be taken against a white background.
• All of these documents need to be taken to the airport. The officials at the airport in Vietnam will go through it and request you to pay the following stamping fee:

VFS Global

In several countries, Vietnam has entrusted private visa application offices with granting visas to the citizens of those countries.

The Vietnam visa from India can be accessed through VFS global. VFS Global, a visa application processing firm based in India, processes Vietnam visa applications on behalf of the Vietnam government. The VFS Global website allows you to apply online. Here the applicant can find the Vietnam visa application form online. The VFS Global centers are located in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi.

This visa allows the applicant to visit Vietnam for:

• to visit family 
• and or visit friends for a stay

1 month Single Entry Express: 4600 Rupees

3 month Single Entry : 5100 Rupees

3 month Single Entry Express : 5300 Rupees

1 month Multiple Entry: 7500 Rupees

1 month Multiple Entry Express: 7700 Rupees

3 month Multiple Entry: 8400 Rupees

3 month Multiple Entry Express: 8600 Rupees

Documents Required 

• Original Passport at least with one blank page
• Passport validity should be minimum of 45 days from the date of travel to Vietnam
• 1 Application form 
• 1 photograph (size 4×6 cm – clear photos with white background is acceptable)
• Copy of front and last page of the passport
• To and fro Air Ticket
• Hotel Accomodation
• Bank Statement for last 3 months

Processing Time 

The minimum processing time for a normal tourist visa from Delhi is 6 working days and for tourist visa express the processing time is 5 working days.

The minimum processing time for a normal tourist visa from any other satellite location is 9-10 working days and for express the processing time is 8-9 working days.

The minimum processing time for 3 Months tourist visa (single/multiple entry) from Delhi is 09 working days and from other satellite locations 11-12 working days.

Vietnam Business Visa 

This visa allows the applicant to visit Vietnam for official purposes.
