NIMF was registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) vide registration number MF/022/95/1 dated June 30, 1995.
Nippon India Mutual Fund, formerly Reliance Mutual Fund, is a joint venture between Reliance Capital and Japan’s Nippon Life Insurance company. However, the name of the fund house was changed from Reliance Mutual Fund to Nippon India Mutual Fund on 28 September 2019 after Nippon bought Reliance’s stake.
