Himadri Speciality Chemical has announced India’s first commercial plant, in Odisha, for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material, a key component of electric vehicle (EV) batteries, as it bets on the mobility sector. ANURAG CHOUDHARY, chairman &amp; managing director and chief executive officer of Himadri Speciality Chemical, spoke to Ishita Ayan Dutt about how the diversification would change the company and help its top line. The consortium of Himadri Specialty Chemicals and Dalmia Refractories which took Control of Birla Tyres from NCLT last month, will invest Rs 250 crore to operationalise the passenger car radial segment. Birla Tyres never had a presence in radials that constituted 100% of the passenger car tyres.

Carbon-products maker Himadri Specialty Chemical Ltd (HSCL) will be the majority partner in the running of Birla Tyres and will make the bulk of the proposed payment to fulfil the resolution plan, a top executive said, after the companys joint resolution plan with Dalmia Bharat Refractories Ltd was approved by the National Company Law Tribunal last week.

Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI(LODR) Regulations, 2015 this is to inform you that Honable NCLT, Kolkata Bench, has now approved verbally the resolution plan submitted by the Company and Dalmia Bharat Refractories Limited for acquisition of Birla Tyres Limited under CIRP in terms of IBC.

Himadri Speciality Chemicals on October 17 reported a 180.1 percent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 100.64 crore for the quarter ended September 2023 as against Rs 35.93 crore a year back.

New Delhi, Himadri Speciality Chemical Limited (HSCL) on Saturday said it has posted a 168 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 65.21 crore for the December quarter on account of higher revenues. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 24.30 crore in the October-December period of the preceding 2021-22 fiscal, HSCL said in a release.
